The MSCF was formed in January of 2013 as 501(c3) in the State of Massachusetts. We exist to provide support to all people impacted by MS. While much money is dedicated to finding a cure, we recognize that living with this chronic, often disabling disease can be economically devastating. We exist to help ease this burden.
Through increased visibility in the community and in collaboration with the National MS Society, (NE chapter) we identify individuals and families that need assistance.
About Greater New England Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society
The National MS Society mobilizes people and resources to drive research for a cure and to address the challenges of everyone affected by MS. The Society’s Greater New England Chapter serves 21,000 individuals and families affected by MS in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
The Multiple Sclerosis Community Foundation seeks to act as a “social safety net” for individuals and families living with Multiple Sclerosis. We seek to ease the burden of those living with this chronic and disabling disease.
Multiple Sclerosis is a chronic and disabling illness for which there is no cure. Families often find themselves struggling to meet the physical and financial demands of this progressive disease and because of this, we set out to identify those families in need and provide assistance in a variety of ways including (but not limited to); funding medical equipment, home modifications and respite care. We recognize the financial and emotional toll of living with MS.
Through these efforts we promote the spirit of giving and receiving that reflects the greater good of what our community really is. If you or someone you know needs help, please contact us today.
